faux { a t t e n t i o n s }
She likes loud music, ice cream, Europe, her family, sports, partying, coffee, alcohol, her job, fashion, boys, big cities and medicine.
Dislikes;
She doesn’t like clowns, her insomnia and the rest of her undiagnosed medical condition, deep water, olives, her family, snow, dogs, cold weather, scarves or mittens, prejudice, rugby and being stuck in this hospital without knowing why.
Fears;
Deep water, having to be in this hospital for much longer, losing loved ones, being startled by clowns, pretty much anything she reads in any Stephen King novel.
Quirks/Flaws/Habits;
Being too curious for her own good. Also, cheekiness that gets her into trouble but a certain charm about her that gets her out of that same trouble. She chews on pens and gets really angry if left in the dark about her medical condition; she constantly steals her own chart to see what the doctors have found out.
Goals;
- Getting out of the hospital. Or, in other words, getting healthy.
- Meeting up with more of her old friends and making new friends.
- Landing a huge contract with a top fashion designer.
- Finding some way to continue pre-med.
Secrets;
Her mother died when she was young and she hardly ever tells anyone. The last few years she spend way too much time smoking, drinking and partying. Also; she sneaks chocolate into her room sometimes.
Personality;
Serena has always had the undeniable urge to keep changing. Whether she was changing her personal style, the colour of her hair or her favourite drink, she changed. The same goes for her personality. The biggest change she made was not too long ago, obviously. She used to be a normal girl. She used to be after adventure at any moment. Serena, as a child, was wild, funny and crazy. Kind, also, and always trying to make people smile, whether it was by making jokes or getting herself into the oddest situations because of her spontaneous side. However, you could have called her slightly emotionally detached from the people around her. Sure, mainly because she'd never really got the chance to get close to people, but she had the chance to do that now and still she chose not to take it. She found it typical for this world, to be superficial and never go to deep. The only person who got to thoroughly psychologically look into her soul was herself and no one else.
People often thought about Serena, mostly because of her appearance, that she was very honest. She just looked truthful, apparently. But really, she was always far from that. She was rather secretive, and preferred to keep things to herself rather then to shout them from the rooftops. She was also a bit deceptive because she slowly learned to use her appearance and facial traits, such as her smile, to make people believe that everything is fine, when things really are far from fine sometimes. She doesn’t like having to deal with all the drama; she rather paints a smile over it and forgets all about it.
She was also very intelligent, that is something else that has to be said. She had the ability to read people pretty well, and could always find a logical solution to a problem. She easily remembered things, anything really, from numbers to names. She’s level-headed as well, and though her life had made her a lot less spontaneous and bubbly then she was as a child, that doesn’t mean she was just silent, and dreamy. Not at all, actually. She as just silent about the things that she doesn’t want to talk about. For example, she would have gladly used her intelligence and kindness to help people, but she would never freely tell people any of the secrets she had, and that’s what made her secretive. And ‘distant’ from her emotions.
There is a reason why all of this is written in the past tense. When she was about twenty she was scouted for a modeling agency and thrown into the fashion industry. This changed her. What used to be kind and friendly about was now busy, distant, slightly neurotic even. She used to be adventurous by climbing trees and was now adventurous by trying to get to as many nightclubs as possible in one night. She could hardly help it; she was dragged into this crazy world of modeling with having the time to stop and think about what she was doing to herself. It all just happened so fast and before she knew it she was exactly like all of her model friends; superficial, cold, and unkind.
The accident that landed her in the hospital changed this, however. She seems to have made a switch right back. Without any knowledge of her previous life left, Serena started off with the things she had at the beginning. Not money, not fame, just kindness and a killing curiousity and charm. It’s safe to say her personality has taken a turn for the best but it’s still a mystery whether or not things will stay this way for very long. After all, it was always Serena’s thing to keep changing it up.
Mother; Ellen Phillips.
Father; Eric Hart.

History;
The life of Serena Hart was a wonderful one, right from the beginning. It was on November the 24th, that Eric Hart and Ellen Phillips, a seemingly regular couple, were blessed with the birth of their second child, a daughter. They already had a son whose name was Noah, and hopefully Serena would fit right into this ordinary, but happy, family. Eric and Ellen were loving parents, and Serena would grow up to become quite the funny, spontaneous girl. Although she was a bit of a rascal, which was probably because she was surrounded by tomboys who loved being outdoors, playing sports and going on adventures. Serena grew up the same way, and there was no way Ellen could get the girl to wear a dress, or play with dolls, after she’d found out climbing tree’s and playing in the mud was also an option. But it didn’t really matter, because Eric and Ellen loved their kids no matter what, and Noah and Serena grew up to both be great children.
It was when the girl turned seven years old, however, that it started to go downhill for the ever so perfect Hart family. Noah was eleven at the time, and Eric had been driving them all home from a restaurant, where the three of them had celebrated Serena 's birthday. It was November, and the road was foggy, dark, and slippery, with rain pouring down on the car’s windows. But they were all in a good mood, because it was a happy day. When all of a sudden another car came out of nowhere, and cut Eric off. With a quick swerve in an attempt to dodge the car, he hit the brakes, causing the car to start slipping off the road. Yelling to his children and wife to brace themselves and hold on tight, he tried to stop the car, but it was too late. It slid right off a bridge, and landed in the icy water.
Eric was the first one to escape from the submerging car, and after he went up to gasp for air, he went back down under water to get Ellen, Noah and Serena freed as well. Noah had already escaped and swam up to the surface. Serena, however, had gotten stuck and was holding the hand of her mother who, right in front of her, was trying hard not to breathe in, as she had gotten stuck as well. The impact of the fall from the bridge had caused something to collapse on both of them and as they was struggling to get free, Ellen kept motioning her daughter to let go of her hand and swim up to the surface. Eric grabbed Serena’s other hand and tried to get her to swim away from the sinking car. Finally, but too late, the little girl let go of her mother’s hand, and at that moment Ellen gasped for breath. In front of the eyes of her young daughter and her beloved husband, she suffocated. Serena was brought up by her father and just survived the accident. However, this was the last birthday she had gotten to spend with her mother. The entire family was crushed but it was Serena who missed her mother the most. Sure, she loved her father and brother a lot and they’d loved Ellen has well, but she felt like she couldn’t even think about living without her. Sure, the feeling passed slightly as the years went by, but she never really accepted the fact that her mother would be gone forever.
Life went on and she grew up to be quite the beautiful and smart girl. Not as spontaneous and bubbly as she used to be but that was to be expected. The house her father owned in Johnson, Kansas now seemed empty and silent without the vibrant presence of Ellen. Instead of making friends and having fun, Serena spend most of her days reading or studying. She missed out on a lot of fun that was to be had but she didn’t really care. For whatever reason Serena had decided what to do with her life, something she’d always been ambiguous about; she wanted to become a doctor. She studied like her life depended on it and when the end of high school was finally in sight she was thrilled to find out she had been accepted into the pre-med program of the university of Kansas. A bright future lay ahead of her.
She threw all of those interests and talents away when a random man approached her on the streets of her hometown one day. A model scout was showing interest in her and she couldn’t help but realize that she’d never wrote off a career in the spotlights. She agreed on a casting and before she knew it Serena had left her hometown and her family behind only to be pulled into the crazy fashion industry. It was almost like being in a black hole; once she’d started there was no way to get out. Photoshoots, runways, she did it all, not once looking back on the family she’d left behind her. Noah and Eric were happy for her, of course, but they didn’t appreciate the money and the fame. They just missed the old Serena and they disdained the person she’d become.
But she was basically thrown out of the black hole and into the real world during a runway show. She was doing what she was always doing but for some reason she hadn’t felt quite alright all day. Maybe it was the lack of solid food, mild dehydration or a more serious complication but whatever it was; she collapsed in the middle of the catwalk halfway trough the show. Assistants scurried to her side and she was inmediately brought to the hospital unconscious. When she woke, however, she was slightly disoriented and maybe even a little panicked. The people who’d gotten her here managed to tell the staff that her name was Serena Hart but apart from that they didn’t know anything. And from that day forward; neither did Serena herself.

Blake sighed deeply as she entered the one and only tiny shop that the town of Valdez, Alaska had. Her blue eyes scanned the small space which was stocked with everything a person could possibly need to survive here but her expression held something sad. Or rather, something pissed off. She wasn't really angry at anything or anyone in particular, she just was and she couldn't quite place why. Everything she came upon in this town, she disliked. The dogs, the people, the shop and the pubs, the snow, everything was completely wrong for her. Blake was probably just mad at everything because nothing here seemed to suit her. She felt like a complete outsider in every possible situation. From the moment she'd dragged her now seemingly enormous load of belongings into her aunt's cabin to this very moment when she'd decided to 'investigate the town', which had shown to only take about half an hour.
But she was trying to start over, so she had to make an effort to get used to this place. Sure, it wasn't New York, but Blake kept telling herself that she would eventually find something here to like. There had to be something. The heels of her black boots sounded unusually loud on the floor of the store and as she entered, wearing jeans and a black trench coat in which she felt way too New York, she could feel herself getting embarrassed just by being present her. All the people in this town seemed so much less.. focused on money or reputation. It was just about friends, family, and having fun in the mountain snow. It all felt so humble and kind to her, but it was the biggest culture shock since she made the change from Johnson, Iowa to New York. Truthfully, she didn't want to start all over again. But as she glanced into a mirror and saw her own reflection, the designer jeans and high heeled boots, the expensive coat and her long wavy blonde hair, she realized that changes had to be made if she was ever going to fit in properly here.
She silently approached a shelve which held several jars filled with food. Beans, pickles, olives.. she turned around to look on the other side of the small store but in her way bumped into another shelve stocked with boxes of cereal and such. "No!" She called out and she turned around quickly trying to catch some of the falling boxes but it was too late. With a lot of banging a few of them tumbled to the ground and food was scattered across the floor, leaving Blake feeling even more embarrassed and out of place then before. She bend down and tried to clean some of it up, while at the same time trying not to pay attention to the people who had turned to look and were, as she suspected, either laughing or scoffing at her..

Member Title; n/a.
Other; Maybe it’s helpful to list her symptoms? She suffers from amnesia, insomnia, headaches and sometimes feeling dizzy or exhausted, all probably caused by some sort of brain injury. Oh; and I hope it's okay that she's a model and all that.
Read the Rules? I love panthers.
