The faint sound of sirens could be heard in the distance but there were hardly a few people who noticed. The ambulance was racing along the streets of New Jersey trying to get to the hospital in time. In time for what, really? The patient inside of the vehicle wasn't heavily wounded. She wasn't dying, not at all. She'd just accidentally fainted and hit her head and had been knocked out. That seemed hardly enough to have her transported with flickering lights and screaming sirens but it had been the circumstances that had brought her to this situation. After all, a model collapsing in the middle of a fashion show generally caused a lot of panic. 911 had been dialed, ambulances had been ordered to come and rumors had spread causing the press to tail the speeding car. Before anyone could even say anything, Serena Hart had been thrown onto a gurney, shoved into an ambulance, still actually wearing the gown she'd been wearing while walking down the runway, and raced to Princeton-Plainsboro hospital to be checked out.
The sound of the sirens got louder as they approached the hospital. There was only one paramedic in the car with her; along with a girl who had been backstage at the fashion show and had gone along to 'help'. The doors opened and doctors immediately approached while the paramedic took out the gurney and started to explain what had happened. The girl was just fast enough to keep up with them but didn't speak until they'd placed the rolling bed somewhere they could take a good look at their new patient. After hearing the model being called a 'Jane Doe' the girl spoke up. "Her name is Serena Hart." That was all she said before she was urged to step aside and head to wards the waiting area. She decided to leave, however, thinking that the doctors had taken this problem off her hands.
Meanwhile, Serena Hart's head started hurting like crazy as her eyes fluttered open for the first time in the past hour. She couldn't even remember having such a headache and she couldn't actually see or hear much. She saw white spots in her field of vision and she heard the mumbling of several voices, none of which sounded familiar. Disoriented, she spoke. It was more of a hoarse whisper then an actual question. "What happened?" [/blockquote]
