The town of Bailey, Montana is a hundred and eighteen years old. It was founded and established about a month after the state became the 41st state. It was founded and established by Alexander Sutherland. The main businesses in Bailey from the beginning were farming and mining. It never was and never has been a tourist town at all.
Bailey is only a town of eight thousand people and everyone in town knows everyone. Secrets don’t stay secrets for long in a town where everyone knows everything and in a town as small as Bailey that is true. Like the fact that everyone in town knows Phoebe Erickson’s husband left her when she told him she’d never leave town. Or how Jonathan Wyatt’s wife died of leukemia.
These are things that everyone in town knows because nothing can be hidden from the prying eyes of those around them. Because the whole town is watching, so welcome to Life in a Small Town.
